You might be looking for a car, and come across their ad on one of the myriad of websites they push their cars. You might get excited - call ahead to check it out, confirm the price, arrange to pay IN CASH, and then drive FIFTY MILES to get to them. The vehicle might turn out to be all you hoped, and the salesman might even take you back to begin what should be an incredibly easy transaction. BUT, never fear - they know how to keep things old school.

Yes, their finance managers will appear shortly, and summarily inform you that they have no intent of honoring the price you found - they'll even mock the ad when you show it to them! And they will inform you that you also have no choice about buying the $900 security system they installed! Lucky duck - you get to pay over $2000 more than the advertised price!

Or, you know...walk away, and teach them why the internet matters. Seriously - companies spend money on fixing their online presence - they could just hire better people, and make the entire process better. Hardest part is: my family needed this vehicle, and it really was perfect (at the right price). If they would honor their advertised price and agree to remove the equipment THEY put on the van, I'd still buy it.

But that's not gonna happen, because, as the manager told me, "we don't do this for the money!" Right...which is why you're trying to screw me over for an additional $2000. Stay classy, Ford & Mazda of Orange!
