Would've loved to give 5 stars for preserving a historical place so well, but unfortunately the hotel deserves only a 4. First, the lady at the front desk for checkin looked very unwelcoming, and was staring at us (my husband and I) as if we were not supposed to even be there. She declined my NY state ID (that's a first...) by saying "Can I see an *actual* ID?". She changed her attitude only after receiving our credit card for payment. Wish I asked what her name was...
Another thing that bothered me is the daily fee for hotel amenities, which aren't even available these days due to pandemic. So why charge extra?
Also, they'll put you in a room with the hospital view unless you ask for a better view.
