Summary: food mostly good but sparse in the beef department, live music was nice and wine glassed filled frequently, but we felt very rushed.
It's disappointing that the potential of the food and music atmosphere was let down by stingy portions of meat and being rushed through the meal.
Long version: we went for the Sunday lunch set menu and free flowing wine. The beef and sauce tasted excellent together, and the beef cut easily as it was tender and well cooked. Half the potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the chocolate pudding was gooey, indulgent, and delicious. The free flowing wine we paid for was truly free flowing and we pretty much never had an empty glass.
However, I was disappointed with the amount of beef and I definitely could have done with another slice. Half of the potatoes were a little hard and not as tasty - I'm really not after pot luck potatoes.
During the meal we felt very rushed. The staff were attentive in that they cleared our plates (literally as soon as I put my knife and fork down the waiter just swooped in which was quite a surprise!) and they did their job, but they always seemed focused on something else and rushing around whilst doing it, and not giving time for us to ask for anything else etc. It lacked geniune customer focus and care.
