Place is awesome. Kid friendly, photographers dream, euphoric. Unreal experience.

One thing I must say, it s overly busy (which makes sense, it s the best thing in Tokyo). Pretty much if you don t arrive early and aren t the first one in, expect to wait in lineups for each exhibit that can be upwards of an hour long wait and people will be all up in your shot. The place opens at 10am, I got there at 9am on a Monday and waited until it opened and there was already a 200 person long line, once the doors opened up it was a half hour wait to get in and no lines for the exhibit except a 10 min line for the lantern room and a twenty minute line for the floating nest room. Once I was done and I was leaving the amount of people packed in that entire place was messed up some people were waiting 2hrs for the lantern room and you have two minutes to get the perfect shot.

Arrive early to enjoy, go in off season or during the week.
