There was a significant queue when we visited, but the weather was fine and the queue was in a spectacular courtyard. The buildings and the grounds are everything that they promise to be. Bring some comfortable shoes; the gardens are vast. Some of the areas are a little crowded. We tried to time our walk so that we were either in front of or behind a large tour group - this helped.
