Two of our kids (both under 8s) did the Wheelgate ...

Two of our kids (both under 8s) did the Wheelgate zookeeper for the day experience and it was absolutely fantastic. They were kept non-stop busy interacting with the animals in lots of different settings - washing tortoises, cleaning out the rabbits, collecting eggs from the chickens, feeding the reindeer etc. etc.

Most of all however the staff were also fantastic, from the chap on the gate who went out of his way to get us where we needed to be to Hollie and Amy the wonderful "zookeepers" who looked after us for the day. The kids loved it while learning a lot and I would hugely recommend it as something very different - an unforgettable experience for them and great fun.

At the end of the day, we had an hour to whizz round some of the park. It seemed quirkily different to the big "theme parks" with some nice fairground type rides, slides and trampolines that would likely suit under 10s - if it isn't too busy I imagine it would be a great day out as well.
