I went to book in for a check engine light. My vehicle is under warranty and the last time this happened I had taken it to a different Kia dealership and they did not charge me to do a diagnostics on my car because the car is under warranty. Well about a week ago my check engine light came on and this is when I phoned west Edmonton Kia to bring it in to get it checked. I gave them my information and told them the vehicle was under warranty and had the appointment all booked and than I was told there is a $75 dollar diagnostic fee even with my vehicle being under warranty. I was shocked because the first time the check engine light came on I took it to Sherwood Kia and they did the diagnostics for free because it was under warranty.

So after I found out that West Edmonton was going to charge me for something under warranty. I took my vehicle into Sherwood Kia and I confirmed with them that the vehicle is under warranty is there a charge to run a diagnostics on it and they said no cause it s under warranty.

I do not recommend west Edmonton Kia. Make the trip out to Sherwood Kia. They are a great dealership and great staff there. Don t waste your time with west Edmonton especially when it s covered under warranty and they will still try to charge you.
