My employer pays over $500.00 per month to IMS in ...

My employer pays over $500.00 per month to IMS in premiums for my employee health insurance and I pay an additional $750.00 per month to cover my spouse and children. So a total of $1250.00 per month to cover 2 healthy adults with no chronic health conditions and who have never smoked and 2 children under the age of 4. They also have a large co-pay cap and we find ourselves paying thousands of dollars annually out of pocket.
I know the state of the American healthcare/insurance industry is dire but there has to be better options available than this. I wish my employer would drop IMS and give me and other employees 75% of what they were paying IMS in a pay increase and let us find our own policies on the healthcare exchanges.
It is very frustrating to be a professional, working full time, at a job with benefits and struggling to stay in the black in large part due to routine healthcare expenses.
