I was excited to stay here. Newly remodeled rooms and good location, but was disappointed by a few things: 1. elevators were terrible. Long lines and wait practically each time we had to use the elevators. We had the club rooms, but in order to get there, we had to go to the ground floor and switch elevators to go back up to the club room. It sounds like a small thing but we had to deal with waiting 5-10 minutes each time just for the elevators. I suspect some were not in service. Multiple people opted to take stairs; 2) self parking is 28 and valet is 40, internet is 10/night; 3) club floor was nice, but the amenities are not worth the cost. Also too many kids in the lounge, so was noisy and found myself dodging kids; 4) got locked out of my room, and seriously needed 2 hrs to get back in. First, it took 30 min for the front desk to send up a bell hop with new keys (only after we called a second time), they continued to say that we must've bolted the door from the inside through a connecting room (but we cont to tell them the rooms are not connecting). They then sent up the lock person who went through the questioning yet again about having connecting rooms. After they confirmed the lock was indeed not working, they sent for the "master locksmith", who went through the same questions about connecting rooms for the third time. When he confirmed that it was NOT our fault, they then changed the entire lock on the door. We got an apology from the lock people, new keys and all in all, it took over 2 hrs which, to me, was unacceptable.
The positive things... it's close to the green line light rail, to seaport village and to the convention center. But realistically, there are quite a few hotels here that can claim the same thing.
All in all, I am really disappointed in this hotel. I will most likely use Marriott or Hilton on my future visit. Hope this review is helpful.
