My son purchased a wallet for me about five years ...

My son purchased a wallet for me about five years ago. Filson told him it was guaranteed for life, they would repair it or replace it. I brought it in to Filson and asked if they would repair the wallet. They told me that they no longer guarantee that wallet because it is not repairable and they wear out. It seems to me that they should replace the wallet with the one that they now sell and can repair. How can a business offer a lifetime guarantee and then take it back? I have purchased oilskin coats, work overalls, a wool coat, hand bag, and last Christmas my son bought me a backpack! I m very disappointed at the way they treated a loyal customer. I don t think I will be shopping at the store on 1st ave s. in Seattle !
