We were in the Atlanta area and had an issue with our 2007 Yukon SUV. We had traveled 8 hours and it had all of the sudden started running very rough and cut off as we came up on the exit ramp. We had it towed to our hotel. The next morning drove it to Bellamy Strickland with no issues but because we had an issue 3 yrs prior with a similar problem and had it fixed for about $350 we thought it may be same thing again. They looked it over and called us that afternoon, said we needed a new engine $7000 or that they would buy it "as is" for $4000!! (Kelley Blue Book trade in lowest level $11000-$13000!!?) We called the dealer in our hometown that had fixed the issue 3yrs prior to get that info and called BS to let them know do they could check and see if that could be same thing again. They said no, the engine was just "shot". We decided to get a second opinion from another GM service Dept a few miles away because we thought Engines that are "shot" do not get better when they cool down?! Hennessy fixed it for $600+ and we drove 8hrs back to our hometown and have been driving it ever since with NO issues. Beware this service Dept. Is NOT TRUSTWORTHY!
