Educational entertainment and a great cause! The New England Aquarium is a stronghold in Boston. It's everything you're looking for in an aquarium: adorable penguins, an interactive touch tank, sea lions, a giant tank full of hundreds of species including sea turtles and hammerhead sharks, etc. But most importantly, the New England Aquarium has an important mission! So much biodiversity is being lost in our oceans every day due to the actions of humans, and the aquarium educates its visitors about how we could all help marine life worldwide. Use less plastic, be mindful of the resources you use, and eat only sustainably sourced fish if you eat any fish at all. This marine paradise in downtown Boston reminds how incredible sea creatures can be. That's what's at stake.
