For it being my first Waldorf experience, I was disappointed. Lobby is beautiful, rooftop bar/pool area is decent, I was not impressed with the rooms. I downgraded from a superior king room to a regular king room because I wanted a room which gives me the best view of the city, the superior room had slightly more sq footage than the regular room but I was staring straight at another building when I opened my curtains. The room I was transferred to was suppose to give me a great view of Canal street . I guess I did see Canal street but what stood out more was the trashed rooftops of some other buildings in front of me(Shown in picture). The bathroom has a small tv which was cool but upon turning it on you realize it s very old with the poor picture quality, therefore I didn t use it. Shower was nice with 4 shower heads that can be adjusted to spray at the same time. Ultimately I just didn t feel the luxury vibe in the room compared to some other Hilton properties I ve stayed at, I expected more from a Waldorf. The executive level room I had at the Hilton Riverside was in better shape with a much nicer view.
