The TSA staff in the morning was quite unfriendly. When I was towards the front in line about to provide my ticket and id to the TSA staff and what not, another TSA employee pointed at new line being formed and looked in my direction. To verify that it was me being asked to move to this new line and not the individual before or after me, I pointed at myself expecting to get a 'yes' or 'no' nod. Instead, I got a "Yes you. Am I speaking english?" The tone was extremely ill-mannered, condescending, and belittling. When I had to scan my ticket on my phone, I had trouble focusing because of the prior event and got another rude remark from another TSA employee - something along the lines of "YES, like that." A few other TSA workers looked annoyed at me as I passed through the line until I started to sob. I actually saw one woman's face go from disgust to concern in a matter of seconds. None of these employees knew I had been experiencing episodes of my severe depression prior to these events, and the experience became a high powered trigger for me. I spent an hour crying off and on in my terminal waiting for my flight. In all of my experiences at airports, I have never had one this awful. I really really don't want to come back to this airport if I ever choose to visit Chicago again.
