If you want to be notified if someone is burglarizing your home, Smith Thompson is not the way to go. My home alarm was armed one day when i left the house. Something set off the alarm and was never notified. My neighbor is the one that notified me and a letter from the constable at my door. I called Smith Thompson after hearing the alarm was set off and they told me if it was serious the cops would let them know. Found out also that they cant tell if your system is armed or disarmed. The only way is if i had their app. Well i did have it once but i got rid of it because the app is delayed and even their workers know that its not a good app and they still haven"t changed. They cant tell if they are receiving a signal from their cellular device either. I thought home security companies are all the same. So i went with the lower price. The only thing your getting from Smith Thompson is a cheap price that's even if its working at that. If you care about your family and your life don't put it in the hands of Smith Thompson.
