Been taking my grandson since he was 1-1/2 years old. Of course, he was awestruck; and despite being 13, he continues to enjoy it...although, now as then, he continues to complain about having to walk everywhere.
For a relatively small zoo, it packs a wallop. Everything from the toad to the tiger. Shade, snacks drinks, and even a train.
