Looking for someplace new to try to "wait out" traffic...we love trying a new craft beer any time we can and when I googled and found Stewart's it sounded promising. The reviews looked good, the menu looked good, and they had a decent kid menu, which, having a seven year old picky eater, is important to us.

Quite disappointed to get in there and find out that if you go on a Sunday before 2, you must order off the brunch menu which only had a couple sandwich choices, some apps, or breakfast food. Some of the sandwiches I was reading about sounded so good...but unfortunately none of those were available.

I "settled" for the Stewart's Country Club which was listed as house roasted turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato and cheddar. When it came out it looked and tasted just like regular turkey lunch meat with one piece of bacon cut in half, one piece of lettuce, a tomato slice and and a piece of cheese that looked like it had just been unwrapped from it's cellophane. I had also ordered onion rings in place of the fries, but out it came with fries. (The waitress DID take care of that when I mentioned it to her and she realized the mistake).

Hubby ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. Wish I had taken a picture of it before he tore the roll away that didn't have anything rather than taking only a picture of what he had to pull away in order to not eat just bread (and I can't get my pics to download...). I'd never serve a piece of chicken that size on a roll that size..at least butterfly it or serve it with lettuce and tomato to make it look worthwhile.

Kid got pasta with red sauce. It was ok but really, you gotta work to screw up a spaghetti type dish.

French fries were frozen ones with a batter on them, and the onion rings were ok, but also the trypcal frozen beer battered ones. Served with ranch on the side that tasted fine but was runny.

Beer was good. Hubby liked the 5k IPA and I liked the wacky wheat.

Server was nice as well, but service seemed slow for all the busier it was.

I don't like to write places off as "one and done" as you never know if someone is having a off day, or if it's a matter of ordering something that just wasn't what you were expecting, or something like that...but that being said, I can't see us making a return trip when it was all around "just ok" not just one thing..
