Friendliest staff I have seen in a decade. Wi-fi was included in the conference fee, but I can understand why others would be frustrated; the network asked me for three different prices over the week. Breakfast buffet was typical for a hotel. I did not eat many meals in the hotel, Monterey has tons of fun restaurants and the hotel location right in the middle of them. I did order from room service once and was able to order brown rice, vegetables, fish with two lemon slides even though it was not on the menu. There actually are stairs, but they are on the ends, not near the elevators. Our room was on a newly refurbished floor. Room rate was 149.00
