One of my favorite places on Earth not because there s much to do, but because there s much to feel. The closer you get to the statue, the more exciting and emotional you may get. To many, the Statue of Liberty is a symbol of many things. To most of us, it s a symbol of freedom and the pursuit of happiness. In order to get there, you ll need to go by water taxi or private boat. It ranges from USD 13.00 and up. Once you get to the tiny island, there s a price to go inside the statue, and a separate price to get to the highest point of the statue (Beware: it s not always available). With your ticket you can also acquire a visit to Elis Island, the entrance port for many immigrants decades ago. In short, this place is all about history and the symbolic meaning of the statue. A MUST for ANYONE who visits New York/New Jersey. I took the attached picture from a private boat.
