We had a fire at our home 03/31/17. We have never had a situation like this before so we didn't and still don't know what to do. We have yet to receive any money for repairs and replacement of our belongings. We were sent an initial check for loss of use but had to send receipts in to our desk adjuster. That was not enough to do any repairs. I have called, emailed, asked to speak with management only to get answers as to when and how much we are going to receive for our replacement contents. How much is the contractor going to receive and to have Universal to pay the restoration company that has long been completed with their work. No one will help me, return my call or emails, or tell me anything except it's been sent to management for approval or someone will call you within 24 hours for an update. Thankfully we have a camper at a campground and we have been staying in it. If we had to stay in a Hotel our initial check would have already been depleted and we would be in the street as they drag their feet. I am hoping this review will help someone to see how they conduct business. I am not asking for a lot only answers so we can get an idea on when we will be back in our home.
