Do not stay here. The resort itself has lovely grounds and a nice location, so I would feel like I was lying to rate it 1 star. We actually stayed here a few years ago and came back for the location. That being said, the hotel has gone very downhill. The rooms need remodeled, the air conditioning was broken and being fixed, and the hallway carpets were mildewed. We were pretty understanding of it being an older hotel, and wanted to have a good weekend so we overlooked all that. The main problem is with the customer service and priorities of the resort. We booked an ocean front room on a high floor to have a relaxing evening on the balcony by the ocean. The hotel set up a wedding reception on the deck directly in front of our room (and the hundreds of other oceanfront rooms) complete with DJ. From the 7th floor with the door closed, we could hear everything being said, including all the lyrics to the electric slide. When we called the front desk to ask about the volume, we were told that quiet hours didn't start until 11 pm. We asked if they would at least turn it down (and why we weren't told there would be a DJ outside our room until 11 pm in advance), and they said that quiet hours would not start until 11, and no apology was given nor solution offered. We expected far more from a Marriott, and since my entire family are rewards members, we will be rethinking that loyalty in the future.
