Review of Toyota of Alvin

To say the least my experience at Toyota of Alvin ...

To say the least my experience at Toyota of Alvin was very unfortunate. This is the second time I have dealt with the dealership. The first time was very much the same as bad experiences go. The first time around with a dropped guard they financed over needless warranties into each of my vehicles even though the sales team knew I was trying to get a low car payment. They said was part of the deal and not a factor on the price.

This time around I went in for an oil change on my current Toyota and was looking around the lot to pass time and a sales person walked up to me saying that they were under new management and circumstances were different and they would help me get rid of the extra costs that were financed into my vehicle causing me to be severely upside down. I did not like the numbers they were giving me and I was on my way out. They gave me a number that was acceptable saying that they had it approved but the bank was closed and needed to do the paperwork on Monday.
Early Monday I contact the sales person and they tell me my paperwork is ready. I make my way to the dealership to sign the paperwork and when I get there they tell me it will be a few minutes. When I walk into the Finance managers office they tell me I need to put down an astronomical amount of money and the payment is close to a hundred dollars they had quoted me on Saturday. I had no choice but to switch back to my old vehicle and walk away.

There could have been better transparency in the communication of the situation. I was foolish to think that circumstances would be different this time around. If you are looking to get into a vehicle think twice about going to Toyota of Alvin. If you do look at your financial documents very closely. BUYER BEWARE!
