Before I moved to New York, this was the one restaurant I always HAD to visit when I was in town. I found them completely by accident while attending a convention at the Javits; they came up as a highly-rated Italian restaurant on google maps. Since google reviews were why I found this amazing little restaurant in the first place, I feel compelled to post one of my own.

There is no experience quite like sitting at the counter watching the chefs prepare your meal to order, seeing the care and effort that goes into making these dishes--and the smells are incredible. Every time I come I discover a new dish I want to try. But I have to say that so far, my favorites are the brussels sprouts (yum!), the octopus, the branzino, and the bucatini.

When the pandemic started, I saw that dell'anima was selling gift cards with the proceeds going to benefit the staff, and immediately grabbed one even though at the time I was living in Pennsylvania; I knew I'd use it as soon as I was back in the city. And now that I've moved here, the first place I ordered delivery from was--you guessed it--dell'anima. And the food is just as great delivered as it is when it's prepared right in front of you.

Don't miss out on this gem of a restaurant.
