It's an utterly beautiful cathedral but I was shocked when I rolled through the front doors to be met with a barrier and a note stating that to go any further into the cathedral you must pay them $20. It's the first house of worship that I've ever been to that forces you to pay to enter the building. I realize it's on Nob Hill and everything, but that is very un-Christlike.
