Can not recommend highly enough. The only other person I would maybe trust with my hair after Ali would be Jonathan Van Ness... MAYBE! Never in my life have I felt comfortable having my haircut because my long hair is my favorite accessory and up until I found Art + Autonomy it always was either botched or just slightly off. And when a haircut at a nice place is gonna cost you upwards of $100 each visit, I just could never justify paying that much for a cut I didn t love. Ali so gets it, she listens, pulls up pictures for you and knows what s going to look cute or classic or trendy or whatever you re going for. The salon has a whole is just so well run too. They take hair education seriously and make a point of it to consistently be taking classes and keeping up to date with the best hair products. Plus the studio is gorgeous yet comfortable and have a great selection of refreshments that they offer upon arrival. Really cute bathroom too. Art + Autonmy makes every other hair salon in NYC look like a dumpster fire... without even trying because they are also truly some of the NICEST people. I d give 100 stars if I could.
