Best haircut yet!! I loved my entire experience at this salon. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the sweetest receptionist (Emily), and I was given some wine by a wonderful assistant who washed my hair (Cody!). I then had the pleasure of having Janine cut and style my hair. It came out wonderful and she really listened to every single concern I had about my hair care. Thank you!!!! I ll be back :)

Love it! Fun, funky atmosphere, extremely friendly staff. They do amazing color. Candy and lemon infused water. Products they sell are amazing in terms of performance--best I have used but pricey.
Great customer service, the stylist always introduce themselves before beginning on your hair. They Ask what you re looking for and try to accomplish your request. They are very pricey but I guess you get what you pay for. I got highlights done by Daniel. He s very sweet and Did a good job. I would have loved for my hair to come out a little brighter but he said that s a process. So let s wait and see. Overall I love this Salon. Both Nancy & Daniel are great.
AMAZING ARTISTS work on hair here. There is no other way to put it. Madison is super skilled and knows all the trends; she then proceeds to set the bar higher. Jo did not work on my hair but she came right up and spoke to me as if she knew me for years. Great salon, worth every penny! Made a loyal customer out of me.

I came here on a deal from Gilt for half head highlights. Place is huge and everyone seems so nice. I called in advance to ensure that the salon had blue/purple dye since I wanted denim looking hair. When I met Veigas, told her exactly what I wanted - professional looking but with some color, so top layer is my natural color (black) and underneath would be the highlights. She was very professional and gave me her opinion in that the effect wouldn't really show if she was to do my hair in the way I explained. She was so helpful in explaining everything and she's so polite. When lightening my hair, she was very meticulous and thorough! The highlights were subtle and very evenly distributed. She definitely exceeded my expectations. Go to Veigas for all of your hair needs!

Just had single process done by Nancy. While she was great, I was not happy with the salon's upsell strategy. While I was getting shampooed the helper asked whether I wanted a "treatment". I thought this was just a regular conditioning after color processing and said yes. Well it turns out I was charged $50 for a simple 2 minute conditioning at the shampoo chair. Horrible! I told the counter rep that I was not aware that I would be charged for it (there was NO explanation whatsoever!) and she stared at me blank. On top of that, hair dye got on my $400 pants so in total I lost $450 from going to this salon. I never had hair dye get on my pants in the past 15+ years at salons. Avoid this place!!!
Jo (the owner) is amazzzzing! Only person that I will EVER allow to touch my hair! I get asked daily who does my ombre... It is SO amazing that I only need to go back once a year! If I move to the moon, I will return to Jo do my hair!
Jo & Cody changed my life & saved me from the worst hair coloring experience I have ever had!!! Cody took my hair from yellow/orange/white to my perfect medium brown!!! He paid so much attention to what I wanted/needed & cared so much about saving the integrity of my hair & bringing it back to health. Everyone was so nice & fun. Best vibes ever. Will definitely be a client for life!!!

The owner Jo is a beautiful soul! The salon setup is beautiful and the history behind the salon is impeccable! I was there for a private engagement, and it did not disappoint! I can only IMAGINE what a salon experience would be like!
Was put on hold for 5+ minutes by a harried-sounding receptionist who blurted out "Dop Dop please hold" and didn't even wait for me to say okay--and then never came back.
I've been going to Dop Dop for the past 5 years and hope I never have to go anywhere else!! I've been to the best salons in both NYC & LA and this is by far my favorite! Deb & Mirian are not only insanely talented but they're great people too. This is the place!
Go see Fallon Fitzpatrick!!!! She is amazing. I have seen her for 5+ years and I won t let anyone else touch my hair. She is very detail oriented and listens to what you want to do with your hair. If you show her a picture of what you want, she will create a spitting image of it for you. She gives advice on hair and if you ask she can give more on makeup, mental health, and anything beauty/body related. She is all about inner and outer beauty . I cant recommend her enough! She is a sweet person and takes care of her clients. P.S. she also does amazing eyebrow waxes
My mom and I have been going here for the last two years. These are people who truly understand hair. I'd go more often if I could afford to, just because I like it so much. It's not cheap, but it is so so so worth the price. If you're just going for a one time cut for an event, or you need a new regular hairdresser, these are the people I'd send you to.
WORST $200 haircut I have ever had! Upon relocating to NYC I was recommended to Jo (the owner) by someone who was a client of hers for many years. Knowing that I was in much need of a good haircut I trusted Jo to fix me up. Before she began I explaining to her that I recently had several bad haircuts and told her that I like to curl my hair everyday. She said "you need layers" and whacked away two huge chunks of my hair without any detailed work or framing of my face. I actually had to request for her to texturize at all. Worst of all she had cut my bangs so extremely short I can't even curl them without looking completely silly. Mind you I have long hair and there was no blending of layers OR the bangs from super short to super long. Making matter worse, I was in her chair for no more than 15 minutes total for cut. Knowing that I was begging for a good haircut, I was recommended to her, and she is the owner I would expect to be treated better than this! I was so upset with the entire experience, I felt like crying. I walked in my apartment door and the first words out of my husbands mouth were "what happened to your hair". Two days later I was calling a stylist at another salon to fix her mess because I couldn't stand my hair unless it was in a ponytail. He took the time to show me all the things that were wrong with the cut and unfortunately the only good solution was to bring up my length several inches to try to blend the short layers better. There was no hope for the bangs and unfortunately I am stuck with short hair until it grows back :( Horrible experience and will never be going back!

Love my haircut! I got my haircut by Yuki who took the time to get to know about my hair, how I maintain it, and how I like to style it. He made great suggestions and cut my hair according to everything I said. He also made great product suggestions! I will be going back just for him! Thank you again Yuki!

I followed my favorite hairstylist to this salon and am so glad she made the move! The atmosphere of this Soho gem is charming and very urban. You're offered wine, water, or tea when you arrive and are shown to a small seating area downstairs. It's a surprisingly large salon for a small storefront. The first visit is the best as they give a free softening hair treatment to all first time Dop Dop guests. The location is very convenient to the Broadway/Lafayette B/D/F/M/6 station and the Prince Street N/R I, of course, highly recommend my stylist, Fallon. I love her cuts and coloring!
Best professional, down to earth, skilled, friendly. Color, hair cut by Mariane is amazing. VEGAS great blow dry. Friendly and welcoming receptionists. A place of heart and soul. Hard to come by in NY city!
