Peter Gredling Review of FutureTel Service Center

I recently had to send my Samsung phone in on warranty. When Futuretel received my phone they stated that my mainboard was defective due to water damage. Since they said my phone had water damage it voided my warranty through Samsung. They offered to replace my defective mainboard if I paid them $325 to do so. I said no to this offer because my phone had never been wet, I knew this was obviously a lie. I told them to send my phone back to me and was required to pay them $25 to pay for their services (ha!). Upon receiving my phone I redownloaded the firmware. I knew to do this because I googled what the error message that was on my phone means and how to fix it. It took me just over 3 minutes to do this and was completely free. Upon doing so my phone booted up no problem and has been running perfectly ever since. Seems like a weird thing for a phone with a "defective mainboard due to water damage" to do. Either Futuretel could not figure out how to fix my phone so they made something up or they just state phone's have water damage to scam people out of their warranties and money. Either way that is no way to do business. The fact that I fixed my phone on my own is laughable. I have zero training other than 20 minutes of googling. I wish I could give zero stars but oh well.
