A few rude staff spoiled the hotel experience with my family. On the night of August 18th, there was this Mexican-looking middle-aged female worker in the lobby who probably oversees the housekeeping services and is the rudest of them all. While I was lounging in the lobby with a cup of water, this person suddenly lifted my cup from its rim with her nasty hands and placed a tissue underneath it. I wouldn't have minded if she asked for my permission first. I immediately threw the now dirty cup and stormed out of the lobby. This worker should not be working in a customer service oriented business such as a hotel. Also, the black porters outside the lobby are not helpful at all and seemed to be just staring at the customers. My elderly parents were forced to carry their own baggages outside of the cab. The rooms are small and so are the toilets. The amenities inside the room are sparse. Noise from outside can also be heard inside the room even though we were in the 9th floor. The only good points include proximity to landmarks of D.C. The attached 14k restaurant is just average; the Penn6 restaurant nearby is way much better.
