The hotel is tired, it needs a refurb to bring it back up to a 4 start hotel imo.
We have stayed here three times. The cleanliness isn't up to expected standard. We have had excrement on the outside of the toilet (not ours!) A half smoked cigarette under the children's bunk beds and just not quite clean enough in other areas.
The single mattresses are uncomfortable.
Wall paper is peeling in places, on our most recent stay the door to the balcony had been repaired (all round the glass) with duct tape.

The breakfast is expensive the selection is OK. They got disgruntled when we tried to take some food away for my two young children, who don't eat much in one sitting & one of whom at the time was clearly quite unwell so we wanted to take food away for her to eat when she was feeling better. Bearing in mind we stay only to attend medical trips for our daughter, this is of importance to us.

The onsite restaurant is good but I feel it falls just short of what it's trying to achieve.
The kids choices could be better and would be great if they included a vegetable or two... the only ones that seem likely to be made on site is the pasta and soup.

It's the only hotel in the area so we don't have many other options for ease on our trips, or we would likely stay else where.
