Classic bait and switch routine. Tried to make me finance when I wanted to pay cash. Kept pushing to make a deal immediately. The advertised price was not honored and they had no intention of getting me even close to that price on the vehicle I was interested in. Found a better deal at another dealer with none of the drama.

In response to the owner's comment: If that approach does not reflect your values or standards, you may wish to inform your staff. Three different people (salesman, sales manager, and general manager) pressured me to make an immediate deal, and the general manager quoted me a price verbally that was below the advertised price (the ironically named 'Love It Price"), but when the write up came it was at least $5K higher than what was quoted and included a double charge. After some back and forth through the salesman, the final number was still at least $2K higher than the on line listed, advertised price, and still included the double charge. Thus, there was no intention to honor what was agreed verbally, or in the end even to the advertised price. I was told that in order to qualify for the Ford incentives, I would have to finance. However, I worked with another dealer who agreed to a number below their advertised price, without the double charge, and gave me all the discounts/rebates/incentives even when I was paying cash. My experience at Lindsay Ford was not pleasant at all, except for the very nice salesman, who seemed sympathetic but helpless to assist.
