If you re Military, rent somewhere else. I broken my lease in accordance with their military addendum in the contract. They even helped me move out in accordance with their addendum (orders, 20 day notice, clean inspection, etc) before the end of a month.

They changed their minds and took nearly a month to rent the unit after I left. So they kept most of my last months rent and security deposit.

They still owe me $1,446.82

Small claims court is difficult to use because they require that you go to mediation first before litigation......... I would have to buy plane tickets back and forth to Washington to do this. It s a pretty good racket StoneGate Apartments/Dobler Management Company has going on.
