We had breakfast at AR Valentien's. It was quite nice--the service was impeccable, the food was very good, and it was very reasonably priced for how luxurious it felt. I would definitely go back with family or people I want to impress. The interior was Craftsman style, very old-fashioned in terms of the deep cushions and opulent wood furnishings. The leather vests on the servers only adds to the feeling that you're in an old hunting lodge being well taken care of. You imagine that at any moment you might look over and see a group of retired bankers smoking cigars. It felt so lavish, yet comfortably familiar at the same time. We stayed for almost 3 hours over coffee and conversation. It was really great.
