Went to Agoura to do some antique shopping with a friend. We drove by the restaurant while exploring the area. I recalled that I had been to a restaurant in the same location 15 + years ago. We decided to try the restaurant as my friend and I like to try new places. We were pleasantly surprised by the warm ambiance entering the door and that it was a Mexican food restaurant. The warm ambiance continued into the dinning areas. Decorative colors were soft blue green and warm brown woods, not the typical brash orange and yellows of most Mexican restaurants. Fresh chips and three salsas were served. And then we selected two lunch entrees from the lunch menu. Both were outstanding. The lobster rolled into flour tortillas was fresh and lightly covered in two sauces, a red and a creamy white sauce and served with black beans and a light rice, was fresh and rich at the same time.... excellent. The salmon Cesar salad with cilantro Cesar dressing with a hint of vinegar was excellent. The salmon was moist and lightly seasoned. Besides the great food and warm ambiance, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful but not intrusive. The prices on the lunch menu were very very reasonable.

My friend and I left the restaurant knowing that we will be going back... often. And we will definitely tell our friends, family and associates... about Mejico Grill.
