Place is so so amazing....very packed tho. But you can't avoid that....make sure you buy tickets online not from any agency,much cheaper and you can get ticket,that skips all the queues. It's good to have a guide ,if you dont wanna spend there whole day ..because there is lot to see....so guided tour is a bit better ...you will see main things in few hours. Interesting fact....there is so many paintings,that if you spend 3 min for each painting....that would take you 3 month in Vatican.
