Alright, this is going to be long but worth the read.

Let me start by saying, for the most part, customer service is dead. I am not sure if that comes from the desire to have the cheapest everything, or if it is from self entitlement we, as americans, have.

With that said, I go everywhere with pretty much zero expectations not to ruin any trips by the constant let downs of the prices we pay and the service we get. BUT LET ME TELL YOU, the Grand Hyatt team in San Diego has completely restored my faith in customer service.

I was planning a proposal out in San Diego (we are from Cincinnati) and I was planning everything myself and it got to be a little much. I decided I would reach out to the hotel and see if they could help with anything. Cory (from desk) Kimberly (concierge) and Katherine (concierge) went above and beyond to help a very stressful and anxious event into something that made me comfortable and confident. I am not going into the comps or anything like that on here but just trust me that if you ever need anything from them, they will go above and beyond to help you out. They did so much for us that I actually ended up getting them a gift before we left because we felt that taken care of.

Not to mention this hotel is right downtown, you can walk to anything and their concierge will help you book anything you need and are very helpful. Also everyone there just seems like they legitimately enjoyed working there; all smiles, all the time (although that might be the 72 and sunny everyday) and they enjoyed doing their job and taking care of their customers.

Thank You Again Hyatt Staff, I couldn't have had a better vacation and thank you for helping me to make my proposal perfect.
