Might be a good homeless shelter. Although I have my doubts on whether a bum would stay here.

The room was crowded and had only one light. One filmy little window had a view of industry rooftops and catwalks. The room had a funny disinfectant smell. No chance of airing it out. The window had a noisy window air conditioner mounted in it. No mini fridge, we went to find ice. All the way back down and up.
The neighbourhood is sketchy. Queen St. W. Is a bunch of run down unoccupied store fronts, sleazy bars and junk shops. About two blocks east of the hotel is a safe injection site. That probably accounts for the myriad of panhandlers and the prostitute running down the street shouting out her prices for service.
I can't believe that a name as well known as Howard Johnson would be applied to this place. If this is a typical HoJo I'll give future bookings a second thought when I see that brand. We paid $500 for three nights. Honestly I that's at least double what it was worth. I've been in better places at $60 per night, no lie.
