I attended the morning edition of Scott's Lifetime Wealth Academy tour at the River Cree Marriott in Edmonton.
Scott is a great speaker: funny, relaxed engaging, just as you would expect from someone with his own TV show. He comes across as very down to earth and humble, a regular guy you could talk with. There was no pomp and ceremony, as you might expect from someone as famous and wealthy as Scott. I am pretty short and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to see him from the audience because the stage was really low, but he kept moving around on the stage and I was able to see him the whole time.
He spoke for the whole two hours himself and kept my interest up the entire time. He told his story, how we got started in real estate at a relatively young age and how he continues to find new opportunities today. He tells you what you need to know to succeed and the attitudes that won't help you at all. Everyone gets a CD with all the basics of real estate investing. At 228 pages it is really a free book!
Yes, it was definitely worth it and I would absolutely recommend anyone to go. Scott does recommend a three day course put on by the Lifetime Wealth Academy at extra cost, but there is absolutely no pressure to sign up for it.
