I've always had pretty good experiences at SFGH, however today was my first time having to fill prescriptions at the outpatient pharmacy. I couldn't believe the pharmacy staff was so incredibly rude. After being belittled for not knowing the specific terms they use for a prescription assistance program I was referred to, I left the drop off window in tears. Once all my registration and eligibility was taken care of I was told it would be 45 minutes before my medication was ready so I ran an errand. When I returned it still wasn't ready I was going to go sit down to wait. Before I could turn around and leave the window my nose started running, like obviously running! I asked the girl if I could have a tissue and she responded in a way that implied I was insane to ask for such a thing, "we don't have any tissue here!" I asked where the nearest restroom was, she waved her hand kind of behind my right shoulder and said, "over there, just over there." When my prescription was ready instead of calling my name she just pointed out into the waiting area calling, " lady, lady!" I so just wanted to snap back at her while checking out but kept my cool though I will admit when to the transaction was completed I did not say "Thank You." Assistance program or not, I will avoid this pharmacy in the future. The only reason I have 3 stars is that I couldn't find a place to rate only the pharmacy and every other interaction today has been pleasant.
