My wife and I stayed at the Four Seasons Las Vegas...

My wife and I stayed at the Four Seasons Las Vegas this past weekend. Large and nicely decorated room, but the king bed felt oddly small. The room we booked was a king bedroom, however the bed did not measure up to a king size bed; my wife was convinced that it felt like a queen. We raised our concerns with management, and their response was that they only have king beds or 2 doubles in the rooms. With that they offered to come up and measure.

We asked what size king they had, and the front desk manager Carlos (Manager #1) said it was a standard North American King which is 76" x 80" (6.3 by 6.66 feet). This was not the case as he pulled out a measuring tape and measured 69" x 77". Carlos couldn't tell us why the bed did not measure up to be a proper king size bed. He said he would send up the Housekeeping Manager - Kyle (Manager #2); he came up to measure, but Kyle provided a different answer. Specifically that it should be a California King, which is narrower but longer at 72" x 84". However his measurement fell short as well at 70" x 77". He stated that this is the king size bed in all of their king rooms, but could not provide an explanation as to why they didn t measure up to a California King.

The last manager we spoke to, unlike the first two was just rudely dismissive. When checking out, Chadd (Manager #3) provided us with a third answer; that it was a "Four Season's King", which basically means they are making up their own bed size standards. Essentially a Four Seasons foot is not 12" but rather 11" >>> or any arbitrary sizes they choose it to be.

We are big fans of the Four Seasons, making this experience extremely disappointing. That a hotel of Four Seasons stature is misrepresenting what you as a consumer is purchasing, thus short changing you just feels wrong. For anyone staying at Four Seasons Las Vegas right now, or planning to go, please measure the bed for yourself, or have a manager measure for you.
