4 stars because during lockdown it seemed empty. But we both had Fish and Chips and it was really good food served with a friendly face (Masked, of course) but the voice was someone friendly. My partner said the Guinness and the lager was good. Reasonably priced it represents excellent value for money from an independent city centre pub. Many families there, always a good sign and the loos were clean.
