Taj is a name synonymous with world hospitality in India. They never do anything without intent. This place is located right in the heart of Delhi, approximately a kilometre away from India Gate, and at a stone s throw away from Khan Market. Approach is a little cumbersome, as the guards have incorrectly placed barriers for motorists coming from the roundabout at Shahjahan Road-Prithviraj Road, and it s a challenge to enter without inconveniencing oncoming motorists, guards just don t listen and are particularly rude.
Once you enter, you forget everything, and the first impression is beautifully done lobby, and Taj has done everything to make it a place worth visiting again. Interiors and decor are just right, beautifully done, and the stairs with the symbolic carpet looks stunning. Reception and concierge try to do their best to please the guests, and never miss a broad smile.
I have been to their three restaurants, Varq, House of Ming, and Machan. In my opinion, if you haven t been to House of Ming, you really missed some great Chinese delicacies and it must be a reason to be at Taj.
I also had opportunity to experience their rooms, which are impeccably done, and maintained, and again, the property is now more than 30 years in service, makes me an admirer of Taj group.
A place worth seriously experiencing and exploring.
