This is not how an international airport is supposed to be. The user experience is abysmal. You have to enter the airport through a gate with all your luggage to collect the boarding pass. Then you learn that you have to exit from the same gate and re-enter using another gate to do the baggage checkin and other security procedures. And this is during the COVID-19 times. The place is chaotic, you have to run here and there to understand what is to be done next. There are no proper signs for toilets, the pay and use toilet outside the airport building is third grade with water dripping at all the urinals. The staircase that you take to go down from the departures to the arrivals is extremely narrow. I'm not surprised that this is the best that the city could do. Very average airport by international standards. People, as usual don't understand social distancing even during these COVID-19 times.
