Dear lovely Steigenberger Team,

First of all I want to thank the complete Steigenberger Team for these 12 wonderful days. A very nice and relaxed Hotel with everything a family needs. Fantastic hotel for pool vacation and kids animation, if your kid is willing to do so.

The check-in was uncomplicated, quick and easy. It was a very nice and smart young man, who explained everything well to us. On top of that we received an free of charge upgrade to a family room. That was a very nice start in our twelve days in Hurghada.

We had to wait some minutes in the lobby, in which we received some nice cocktails. The all-in menu was very good.

After reaching the room, we were surprised about the size. Nice bedroom, king size bed, flatscreen and a huge balkony. The bathroom is great and the extra room was very good for storage of our luggage and as preparing area for our little princess. The rooms are not one hundred percent new, there is some recreation to be done, the corners of the rooms have seen their best times, but it is clean and will be cleaned every day from nice service employees. And yes, you could take pictures, which led to a intension, that the rooms are not clean, but that for sure is not the case. And I hate that pictures, because they are just a shortcut from the complete picture. As stated above, nice and cosy room.

Having done our first interior unpacking /design :-) we went out and checked the pool area. For me outstanding. A huge areal with a lot variety of pools, water slides and the big pirate ship for kids. Unbelievable nice one, kids love it, except our little girl, she was not familiar with the pools and the pirate ship :-).

For relaxing they have a lazy river, in which you can can chill and relax laying in a hoop floating through that river with 0,1m/h. Fantastic for being lazy like Garfield.

Service/Gardening/Recreation employees did a fantastic job. Every time friendly and welcoming.

Then we went to the beach, to which it takes 15 minutes to walk through an very nice built Golf course and the Steigenberger Aldau Beach resort. The walk is very nice, but the target not. The beach is very small, the water to agitated with sand and therefore not suitable for snoring. If you want to have a nice beach, you have to go to a other area then this in Hurghada. Don't know where but standing in front of the ocean there is nothing nice to see left or right.

Having gone the first time in our cantine like restaurant, we thought omg. How will this be? Will we get issues with our stomach? Is the food good? Will we find something for our little girl?

The prejudices we had from experiences we made from other vacations in Egypt were pulverized!!! Over the 12 days you are not able to criticize or say something bad about the food. It was fantastic for the mass of food they have to cook every day. Each day of menu represents something like, German dinner, Asian food, oriental cuisine etc..

Honestly spoken, most of the dishes we will not be able to make better. And we as family cook very much and good at home. Having said this, you can't really take the responses and recensions of other guests serious. All meat and fish dishes were juicy and tender, the sauces were full of flavor and spices.

Two small minus to the hotel itself: A very very loud show in the evening and a hell of moskitos. We were not able to sleep between 20:00 and 22:15. Our little girl woke up several times, because of that noise. Changing the room was not possible due to utilization.

Overall we have to say it was 4/5. Fantastic vacay. But one big minus for the hotel as follows:

Greedy and useless clinic/pharmacy in the hotel itself. If you choose this hotel, take electrolytes and Antinal (local medicine against diarrhea) with you (if your stomach is sensible) !!!!! They try to use your bad situation, our little girl was completely dehydratet, for their profit.
