It was my birthday, and my girlfriend arranged afternoon tea here (we were doing Up the O2 afterwards). The hotel looked very fancy, and the restaurant's decor was amazing. Olga looked after us very well, allowing us to consider eating outside in the sun. Sadly it was full of smokers, so we moved back inside. We ordered the Champagne option, and I enjoyed a nice glass of Rose champagne. The sandwiches were usual (basil bread, carrot bread, etc) but lovely flavours. I had the white tea, and then the Oolong - which were both lovely. Silvia then looked after us and was a lovely host - offering advice and describing what we were given. The scones were perfect! Offered with strawberry jam, clotted cream, and apricot jam. We had just finished our scones, when we were asked if we wanted anymore sandwiches? We were already feeling full, but ordered a couple more. The cakes were really pretty and the mango/peach glass was lovely! Because it was Wimbledon there was some formed chocolate on top in the shape of tennis racquets. Oh, and without organising it, they asked if this was a special occasion and midway brought out a pastry with Happy Birthday and a candle! The staff were lovely and it felt like a special place. I would easily recommend this to anyone else! Next time I want to try the Sky bar...
