My family loves to stay at different hotels as one...

My family loves to stay at different hotels as one of our bonding activities. We're all excited since Edsa Shang was a 5-star hotel. I even opted the more expensive room (Tower Wing vs Garden Wing) because your reservation officer said it's more improved. But when I saw the room, including the bathroom, it was too small, I did not see anything that I will consider an improvement. I'd say the price was too much on what you could offer. I could get a bigger, newer, more beautiful room with your price. I was disappointed. My kids were even saying it's a lot better if we stayed in the hotels where we checked in before (I won't mention the names of the other hotels they prefer). But I agreed silently.

I paid for 3 adults. The people at the front office mentioned we have an extra bed but when we entered the room, there was no setup. I asked someone from housekeeping who was at our floor that time and he said there's no mentioning of an extra bed in their records. So I called Front Office who fixed the problem but it was clear there was a miscommunication. This is an area for improvement for the 2 departments to have proper coordination.

My kids and my hubby were all excited to try your famous pool, but the water was so cold. My kids tried swimming but only for a few minutes. My hubby and I only tried to take a shower then tried to dip but were not able to swim. It was also frustrating.

Then we learned that there's a jacuzzi. Unfortunately, the water temp was too hot for me. So I only used it for a minute. By the way, I noticed there was no one in the health club to assist guests inside. Probably because it was night time when I went there but you might also want to improve that. Also, you may need to train your rep at the health club on providing excellent customer service.

I like the housekeepers greeting us all the time. They certainly know how to provide excellent service.

The breakfast buffet was great. There's a lot of selections.

I rate the overall experience as Fair for it was not what I expected from a 5-star hotel. I don't see myself going back to stay here again.
