My note to Filson:

My note to Filson:

Have I bought my last Filson garment ever? Probably. It has been hard to watch the brand expansion and attempts at expanding the market share with Filson. From overseas production to S/M/L/XL sizing in lieu of individual measurements (eg 44/46/44L) to catalog sales email blitzes. I kind of got it to an extent. But the last straw was today s visit to the Flagship to have a repair done on a small tear in my beloved 5yo (size 46, not L) Jac shirt. I was told the wait was going to be 6 weeks. Ok, I can deal with that. But I can t hold a place and just bring in the jac-shirt in 6 weeks. Nope. I m expected to leave it for 6 weeks and do without. Or I m told I can pay one of your preferred tailors to do it sooner (not under warranty).

Somehow I don t think that s what CC Filson meant by We guarantee every item purchased from us. No more, no less.
Your satisfaction is the sole purpose of our transaction.

Filson has gotten too corporate for my tastes. If you ll pardon the expression, too big for your britches . I guess we are seeing the next Orvis. A great brand ruined.
