I performed gastroscopy in a private regime asking that it be done transnasally and with midazolam sedation as it was already done. Despite being told that they would have done this gastroscopy was not done transnasally and I woke up in the middle of the procedure with strong retching which worsened my condition of severe discomfort in the esophagus. In addition, I was given an opioid analgesic which I had not requested. The endoscopy department is bad. The nurses are very kind.
