As somebody who worked in the automotive business ...

As somebody who worked in the automotive business for years (sales) I have to say that I was pretty impressed with Garnet.

I needed to get some work done to my son's Tiguan. I discovered after starting to call around that this was a big annoying job that at least two Volkswagen shops just point blank refused to do.

It was explained to me that this was a very finicky job that could only be performed by a highly experienced mechanic. On top of that, I called a friend who still works for Volkswagen and he told me that this is one of those jobs that dealers lose money on because Corporate will only allow 4 hours to complete it and it frequently takes much longer.

So imagine my surprise when I called Garnet and they said bring it in. They gave me an up front price that was not only reasonable but pretty much guaranteed that they'd lose money on it. Color me impressed.

It did take them two days to complete when they originally estimated one but they were also very careful to update me on what they found when the took the top out of the Tiguan and let me know about additional charges (minor) up front.

They did a great job and the vehicle was picked up cleaner than when it was brought in.

In these days of rip and replace it's great to know that there are still dealers that are more concerned about keeping their clientele happy than about making money. They've earned a lifetime customer. I know for a fact that if I called the owner of one of the dealerships that told me not to bother because it was too expensive, somebody would have gotten fired immediately...
