We just came back from a one night stay. I had originally booked the king deluxe room with city views, looking forward to a luxury weekend. When we got there, they gave us the standard river view. We realised it and told them it wasn't what we paid for. The reception person "upgraded" us to an other room with a city view. But then we just found out it wasn't really an upgrade, they put us into a standard city view room. I wished they have been more honest in the first place and told us that our initial booking was not available!! Obviously we were not valued guests.
