We recently had our gas hot water heating system preventative maintenance and inspection done. Last year when we signed our three year contract we made our first appointment we were told that it would assure us priority emergency service. our furnace went out during the winter and we were told that it would take three days to come out. the building is occupied by two ninety year old women. my aunt and her tenant were completely without heat. i explained to the scheduler the situation and was told that this was the best that they could do so i went out and changed the furnace gas valve myself. This September Shavits service cancelled our annual service appointment at the last minute. this appointment was made one year ago.. They did come out and found a problem with our furnace when the finally came out this year to service the unit eventually. The cost was what we expected but i am troubled by a followup email from the company asking me to like them on Facebook and if i refer someone to Shavitz i will receive a gift card. no one should be paid to give a good review or for referring a customer. Good service gets good reviews!
